The most quantity of participants was in Open УBФ tournament. 518 chess players took part in open УBФ from 18 countries. The chess players, whose rating doesnТt exceed a mark in 2300 points, are allowed to take part in this competition. For comparison, the minimum rating of International Master is 2400 points.

The main judge of the tournament Ђ¬ї, international arbiter from Elista Viacheslav Namruev told about the speciality of this tournament.
- The most quantity of participants of the Open УBФ are players from Moscow and Moscow region. As a rule they are chess amateurs, main of them are retirees or come to the tournament after their work or take vacations during tournament days. For them chess is their hobby and participation in the festival is the only possibility to take part in the international tournament.
There are some handicapped people among participants. If needed special chess sets are provided for them. Among participants there are many extraordinary, creative people.
Main judgeТs work on such tournament is like psychologistТs work Ц it is very important to find right touch to every player.

In fact, unlike professionals, not all participants of УBФ tournament got used to new rules. For instance, at once three players lost 6th round by offence - mobile phone call.

Six categories of special prizes are set up in this tournament. The general prize found is 1 000 000 rubles. Armenian players Suren Pogosyan and David Gevorgyan, defeating 6 games in a row, got leadership after 6th round.
